Happy Birthday!
November 27, 2008
I think my mom got my birth certificate wrong because i always feel like i’m 5 year younger than i really am. Cla and I turned 30 last weekend and if you asked me when i was younger where i’d be @ 30 – i imagined it totally different from where i am today. But i’m not complaining. I love my family, my friends, my life and my God. I wouldn’t choose any other life. There are still lots i want to do and accomplish before me and I guess it makes no difference whether i’m doing it @ 25 or 30, yeah? (Plus, i’m super blessed to share my life and birthday with my ‘womb-mate’. Happy birthday Cla!)
Rockstar shot this Sunday night while i was sitting in the middle of the living room – my girlfriends doing my hair. Yes – i am a shining beacon of maturity!
Rockstar gave me my gift a week early but told me i couldn’t use it until my actual birthday. So everyday for a week i’d admire it, prance around the house with it and of course, immortalized it! I can’t take care of a geranium, but i think i can handle a bag. Woot! Thanks Rockstar!
I’m suppose to take care of mom’s flowers….

My parents commissioned me to take care of their plants while they’re on vacation:

I think I’m fired. =)
Design Work: Scotty Lee
November 13, 2008
Even though we don’t mind snapping the pictures and get totally excited over new poses, lighting and composition concepts, i can’t for the life of me do design work. Conceptual design? Ummm….No clue. So we get our trusty and MOST talented designer friend to do that kind of work for us. He’s done up our business cards and CD labels. All I have to do is send him a few pictures and he’ll come back to me with the most AMAZING designs. Check out what he did for Nathan and Michelle’s DVD cover:

He’s also done the creative marketing design for Meemz Cakery and the rock band Rev Squad. Hit him up if you need creative design work done: lee.scotty@gmail.com. He’s awesome. Guaranteed.
THANKS SCO! You ROCK!
Asha & Glenn: Wedding
November 4, 2008
The wind was a little biting that day but for a late October wedding especially in Calgary, nobody could complain. It was a beautiful fall afternoon. Clara and I photographed the first portion of Asha & Glenn’s wedding at Bowness Park where the leaves were still vibrant and the second portion at the Valley Ridge Golf Club for the ceremony and reception.
First look at Asha’s wedding gown.
Some of the detailing off to the side!
Glenn had proposed to Asha in NYC and picked out their wedding bands at no better place than Tiffany’s on 5th!
Asha’s mother did her bouquet and bridesmaid’s flowers. I was most impressed!
Rhinestone details on the heels…

Asha keeps an eye on her bridesmaids and mother as she’s getting ready!
Rushing out of the house and off to Bowness Park…

Gorgeous bride! Here’s Asha braving the cold at Bowness, although you wouldn’t know it judging by her radiant smile!

Literally chilling out at Bowness and getting lost in each other’s eyes!
Some dipping action!
Glenn’s glasses makes it ever more convincing of the old school look!

Some yummy back lighting in the late afternoon. Both of them have piercing blue eyes!

After the Bowness formals we moved on to the ceremony and reception venue: Valley Ridge Golf Club.
Looks like fondant but this is actually buttecream icing. Made by Adrienne Duckering ”the Cake Lady”.
Two very talented musicians from Estelle Music played during the ceremony – enchanting music!
Clara and I were so enraptured by Asha and Glenn’s story of how they met that we almost forgot to keep shooting!

Asha & Glenn originally wanted their wedding outdoor. The sun was still nice and bright, but the temperature was dipping too low so the wedding was moved inside!
They were still brave enough to venture outside for some quick shots before the reception.
Asha & Glenn: congratulations! It was an honor to shoot your wedding thanks for letting us being apart of your special day. =)
